HalkPay - Fast and secure payment with HalkPay, your mobile wallet.
HalkPay mobile application is available for every client with an active payment card from the brand Mastercard and Visa issued by Halkbank AD Skopje.
The user downloads the HalkPay app from the GooglePlay Store on an Android mobile device. After the download, it is necessary to register with the mandatory basic data such as personal identification number and the last 4 numbers of the pseudo card number.
Next, the user will receive a text message with a one-time OTP password (one time password) on his mobile phone and will use it to activate the HalkPay mobile application.
In order for the activation to be successful, the user of his mobile device must have activated security elements such as (fingerprint, password, pattern or face identification). If the mobile device has a fingerprint option but the user has not activated this secure element, the HalkPay application will ask him to enter it, so that he can continue using it. A fingerprint will always be used as a secure element for digitizing the cards and for payment with additional authentication, if the mobile device has it as a secure element, otherwise the other elements will be used.
After successful activation, the user chooses which cards he wants to digitize and uses to pay with HalkPay. In order to be able to use the Fast pay option, the user has to choose one payment card as the basic card, an option that allows payment without opening the HalkPay application.
Registration steps description for using the HalkPay mobile application:
Registration
To be successful the client needs to enter:
EMBG (Unique personal identification number of the citizen) and the last 4 digits of the pseudo-card number, issued by Halkbank AD Skopje.
The user's mobile phone number should be updated and submitted to the Bank as an official contact in order to obtain an OTP password that the user will use to activate the service for the HalkPay mobile application.

The user of his mobile device must have activated a security element such as (fingerprint, face identification, password or pattern) in order to log in to the application.
Payment
In order to make the successful payment, the user needs to bring his mobile device closer to the POS terminal that supports contactless payment. As a basic card, select 1 card with the option of fast payment or fast payment. Other digitized cards can be used to pay with the mobile application if you select the specific card before payment.
For an amount under 2,000 mkd the user can pay without additional authentication on the mobile device, up to a sum of 5 consecutive transactions under 2,000 mkd. For every sixth transaction under 2,000 mkd, the application will request additional authentication.
For authenticity over 2,000 mkd, additional authentication will always be required.
After each additional authentication, it is necessary to bring the mobile device closer to the POS terminal again to complete the transaction.
For Additional authentication, a fingerprint will always be taken if the mobile device has it as a security element, otherwise a PIN or Pattern will be used.
Single tap (transaction with one touch on POS terminal) - for transactions under 2,000 mkd
Double tap (transaction with 2 touches on POS terminal) - for transactions over MKD 2,000 and for every sixth transaction below MKD 2,000
If the user blocks / suspends a certain payment card in the HalkPay mobile application, he / she will not be able to make payments with it through the mobile application but can use the physical bank card.
If the user blocks the physical card due to loss or theft, he can use it to pay via mobile. HalkPay application only while at the same time requesting its renewal from the bank branches or through the contact center of the bank which works 24/7.
